That had to be the least surprising but still most shocking run I’ve ever seen. UConn really just ripped back to back Natties without anyone ever giving them a game. And of course they did. But also, holy crap did that really just happen?

UConn really just came back to this tournament as defending champs, and the number one overall seed, with a gigantic target on their back, basically telling the entire world to come get us, basically BEGGING the entire world to come get us… and nobody could even play them tight. Again.

They just beat the field by a combined 140 points. Which is the best point differential in the history of the tournament. So saying this has been the one of the most impressive and dominant two year stretches in the history of the sports isn’t even a take, it’s a fact.

It's crazy. It's unprecedented. BUT, it’s not like Dan Hurley didn't warn y'all. Four years ago, he told EVERYONE, YOU BETTER get us now, because we’re coming.

How incredible is that?? DUDE REALLY DOES HAVE A CRYSTAL BALL: HE put the entire world on notice back in 2020: he wasn’t talking out his ass after a devastating: he was calling his shot: letting the entire world know: we’re coming: we’re coming to kick your ass: all of your asses: we’re coming to take every last one of you on and we will be the last one standing: so you better get us now. And then he went out and backed it all up.  Twice!!!  And not only is he standing on top of the mountain looking down at everyone else: not only is it Hurley and UConn and everybody else: nobody else even gave them a game the last two years in the tourney. No one even belonged on the same floor as these guys the last two years in a tourney: and he did it during a period where it was supposed to be impossible to do?  That’s why it’s Hurley and UConn and everyone else: that’s why he’s the best coach and that’s the best program in America right now.

Not even a Purdue team that got 37 and 10 from their superstar center had any shot.  Basically the big on big matchup we were all waiting the entire tournament to see lived up to the hype. But the rest of the Boilermakers just couldn’t measure up. Just like nobody else could measure up over the last two tournaments. And of course, that was Dan Hurley's game plan... Let Edey cook, shut everyone else down. And of course, that plan worked to perfection.

One made three pointer was never ever gonna put Purdue in a position to win that game. And getting annihilated on the offensive boards was never ever gonna put Purdue in a position to win that game. So nobody should be surprised that Purdue was never ever in a position to win that game. And again, there’s no shame in that, since nobody for the last two tournaments has been able to put themselves in a position to beat this UConn team. Or even take this UConn team to the wire. Or even lose by single digits.

The closest anyone got to the Huskies in a final score over the last two tournaments was 13 points. And the head coach is in everyone's face and still nobody can touch these guys. It's remarkable. I love it all. What's not to love?

I’m serious, you’re gonna have to help me out here haters because I don’t really get what your problem is. I KNOW that a lot of you can't stand these guys and especially don’t like Dan Hurley. I just don’t really understand why.

It’s just too much winning? It’s just too much dominance? Did they make the tournament boring? Or are they talking too much smack and are too in everyone's face? Which is it haters? Make up your minds.

Is it the fact that his team is untouchable and he’s not afraid to let everyone know? Or is it because he’s too animated on the sidelines while he’s coaching his untouchable team to dominant performances? As always...THE ANSWER IS YES.

OR Maybe it’s just obnoxious UConn fan, HURLEY HIMSELF SAID IT LAST WEE: MAYBE PEOPLE HATE THE TEAM because the fans are obnoxious as bleep on social media.

Not me, I don't hate it. Personally, I dig coaches who never lose. I dig coaches who can talk smack and back it up. Personally, I dig excellence. Let me just say this, if he was your coach, you would love him. I'll also say this... There's a damn good reason Lexington is all JACKED up right now. There's a damn good reason Kentucky wants this guy so badly... That reason is because he's clearly the best coach in the country.

Unfortunately Lex Vegas, early returns are not looking great on Dan coming to save your Kentucky Wildcats. At least not if you take Dan at his word from last night

Sorry Lex, AS THE SAYING GOES, HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE. And we all know wifey washes the lucky red dragon boxers, so whatever wifey says, goes. But technically hubby didn't really answer the question did he?

Look I KNOW why Kentucky wants him, QUESTION IS why would DAN HURLEY want Kentucky right now? Dude has everything he needs RIGHT WHERE HE IS. And UConn offers him something no other program can… a chance at a three peat. A chance to do what only John Wooden has ever pulled off, at time when it should be utterly impossible.  And yet Hurley absolutely has a look at it. A look at doing the impossible. Why would he want to go to Lexington and clean up their mess and shoulder all the pressure and responsibility and heat that comes with that gig?  I can’t think of a single reason.  Well.  Maybe one.  The paper.  The bag.  Caysch.

Money. Of course. The obvious answer is straight cash. Of course. Dude is REPORTEDLY only making $5 mil per in base right now at UConn. Kentucky can easily double that. And if he suddenly was looking at an eight figure offer, might that change his mind? Or maybe the better question, might $10 mil per change wifey's mind?

It doesn't seem likely, but it doesn't seem impossible. Either way, you should enjoy the good times while they're here, Storrs Connecticut. Although I know you don't need me to tell you that. Believe me I remember the celebrations last year, you know the ones that involved tearing down a lamp post and using it as a battering ram.

Campus police remembered that too, which is why they actually removed a bunch of the light posts on campus last week. But apparently, they didn't remove all of them. And also, UConn student found a new object to use as a battering ram. Check out this report from NBC Connecticut last night.

I guess when they ran out of lamp posts to pull out of the ground they just started yanking street signs out of the ground instead. And then they used one of those street signs to blast through a giant window at the student union. Because of course they did.

That's the Storrs version of a horsecrap sando. In Storrs, if they're celebrating a championship, that means a door or a wall or a window has to have a large metal object rammed through it. They don't need to grease lamp posts because nobody is climbing lamp posts they're pulling them out of the ground and ramming them through something. Those are just the rules in Storrs. They batter your ass on the court and then they batter buildings on campus with metal objects they pull out of the ground. That's how they roll. The standard is the standard and right now, THAT is the standard in college hoops.
