I mean the other major sports betting scandal.

I gotta dive into the major sports betting scandal this morning. No, not THAT major sports betting scandal. Not the one involving the best baseball player in the world throwing his ex-best friend under the bus ERRR getting allegedly robbed and defrauded by his degenerate ex best friend.

I mean the other major sports betting scandal. The one that’s a lot less confusing and somehow way dumber. And also seemingly a lot more serious, at least for the NBA.

I’m obviously talking about Jontay Porter of the Raptors. Who may not be on the Raptors or in the Association for much longer? Because he is wrapped in one of the most mind blowingly dopey betting scandals we’ve ever seen.

Porter, the younger bro of Michael Porter Jr, is currently under investigation by the NBA following multiple instances of betting irregularities over the last few months. What kind of irregularities you ask? The kind that involve Raptors games.

Uh oh is right, but these betting irregularities involving the Raptors' Jontay Porter don’t just involve Raptors bets, they involve Jontay Porter prop bets as well.

Yeah, it’s not good, it’s below not good, it's below not good. And Alvin, you might want to cue up Commissioner Ears too. You know which clip I mean. Because this situation looks really bad. This makes the Shohei controversy look straight up overblown. And this makes Ippei look like a super genius criminal mastermind.

I’m thinking Jontay Porter wishes he had an Ippei right now. Or any fall guy for that matter. Maybe he’s trying to find one as we speak. Because he’s gonna need some kind of explanation for the league.

Jontay is gonna have to find a way to explain why there were random outlier bets on his unders. Which is suspicious to begin with. But those random outlier bets on his unders came in on nights that Jontay removed himself from games. UH OH once again... and good luck explaining that.

Good luck explaining why on the two nights that massive under bets came in on Jontay Murray, of all players, Jontay Murray ended up pulling himself from both games. Once because of a re-aggravated eye injury and once due to an illness. Yeah, that’s not suspect at all.

On both of the nights in question, Draft Kings turned around and announced to the world that the biggest winning bets in the NBA for that night were Jontay Porter unders. Because that makes sense. Because that's not the world’s reddest flag. That’s not just a red flag, it’s one of the most obvious red flags in the history of red flags.

No offense to you Jontaay, but any random outlier prop bet on Jontay Murray is suspicious as hell. If someone throws down 20k on Jontay Murray under, like allegedly happened in this case, the book is gonna notice. Because that's not your typical, normal wager, in fact that is the very definition of an atypical, abnormal wager. There are programs and systems in place everywhere to catch this exact type of suspicious gambling activity.

And guess what, they caught this exact suspicious gambling activity. And it took about two seconds to match those suspicious bets up to Porter's suspicious behavior. And now Porter better hope he has some answer for Commissioner Ears. And that the league can’t find any direct link between Porter and any of the accounts that threw down these massive prop bets.

Because if they find a link, we all know what happens next. Commissioner Ears is gonna give the dude the Don Sterling treatment. The dude is gonna be banned from the Association FOR LIFE.

And he should... you can't have players manipulating their own props. The Shohei situation isn't great, but as far as we know, there were no bets placed on baseball. Let alone Shohei Ohtani props. This is way different and way worse.

I just feel for my guy Darko Rajakovic… this guy has been through a lot already in his rookie coaching season. But I bet I already know how he feels about this Jontay Porter situation... I bet he thinks it’s A COMPLETE CRAP.

I'm sure he thinks it's a complete crap, but here were his actual comments on this situation this week and if he had any suspicions about these suspicious injuries.

I hear you dude, and I'm with you. Same. I don't doubt injuries either. Like ever. Except for this time. Because this time, I kinda sorta doubt these injuries. Because these injuries are shady as hell. Injuries basically don't get any shadier.

And again, Porter better hope Ears can't prove he faked those injuries or had any part in these suspicious under bets. Because once again, you know the dude is more than willing and capable of taking the opportunity to ban someone FOR LIFE.
